BIO

Damian Dame was an American R&B duo consisting of Debra Jean "Deah Dame" Hurd (September 20, 1958 - June 27, 1994) and Bruce Edward "Damian" Broadus (September 13, 1966 - June 27, 1996). In 1991, Damian Dame became the first act signed to LaFace Records. The duo released their self-titled debut on May 14, 1991, and it spun off three urban radio hits, "Exclusivity," "Right Down To It," and "Gotta Learn My Rhythm." "Right Down To It" was a classic LA & Babyface production. They are also recognized for the single "Reversal of a dog" from the 1992 "Boomerang" soundtrack, which went on to be certified triple-platinum by the RIAA.

The artists were set to be one of LA & Babyface's top acts, however Hurd was killed in a car accident in Atlanta, GA on June 27, 1994 just before the group was set to record a second album. Broadus died of colon cancer on June 27, 1996 exactly two years after his partner's death.
